KAWASAKI versys 1000 abs 2017

Kawasaki Versys 1000

The Kawasaki Versys 1000 is the big brother to the very popular Kawasaki Versys 650 both of which have been updated for 2016 / 2017

To maximise the new 2017 Versys 1000’s fun factor, engineers wanted to provide the most exciting engine possible. The engine needed to deliver more than just performance figures. The engine they chose was a 1,043 cc In-line Four used in the superb Kawasaki Z1000 and Z1000SX range, tuned for flexibility. Superb throttle response, strong torque at all rpm (especially in the low-mid range). As with all Kawasaki models a seductive intake howl ensures that every twist of the throttle is as exciting as the last.

As fitted to the previous Versys 1000 this years model also has as standard 3-Mode KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) this system covers a wide range of riding conditions, offering sports riding performance in dry conditions or the peace of mind to negotiate slippery surfaces in wet cold weather with confidence.

A choice of Full or Low Power modes allow the rider to set power delivery to suit all conditions. Low Power mode limits output to approximately 75% of Full Power and uses a milder throttle response.

Kawasaki engineers chose long-travel suspension to enable riders to take on corners with ease and confidence. While not designed for off-road use, the long-travel suspension’s ability to cope with less-than-perfect surfaces allows the VERSYS 1000 to remain composed where bikes with stiffer, sportier set-ups would require backing off the throttle.

Lightweight 6-spoke 17”wheels and new tyres selected for their road sports potential offer increased cornering performance, increased high-speed stability and a stronger on-road image.

The new mounting system for the genuine panniers allows them to be fitted and removed very simply with a one key system. This offers a clean and clutter-free design ensuring the rear of the bike still looks good with the panniers removed.

A large number of genuine accessories are available including colour coded 35 litre panniers and 47 litre top case to add even more to the bikes ability to go touring. The 2017 Kawasaki Versys 1000 has been made to top the big adventure bike sector with traditional Kawasaki build quality.

So if you are looking for a bike that does it all then look no further; the 2017 KawasakiVersys 1000 is here!!!
