KAWASAKI Z1000R 2017

Kawasaki ER6F

Call Of The Wild - Sugomi Refined

New for 2017 the Kawasaki Z1000 R Edition firmly keeps the Z1000 at the top of it's class of big naked motorcycles.

The big piston and separate function forks with damping and pre-load adjustment as fitted to the ZX636R are tuned for great feedback and the ability to cope with every riding style and situations. On the Kawasaki Z1000 R, these are perfectly matched to the new Ohlins rear shock absorber.

New Radially mounted Brembo M50 monobloc calipers are matched to a radial pump master cylinder. These callipers not only look impressive, they are the best that money can buy in the world of production motorcycles, the fact that they are produced from a single piece of metal ensure that there is no flex at all. They mate with the bespoke 330mm Brembo brake discs to deliver enormous stopping power while still giving the rider great feedback.

The Kawasaki Z1000 R utilises the same exhilerating 1043cc 4 cylinder engine of the standard Z1000. Offering copius amounts of low and mid range grunt with power climbing all te way to the redline.

The induction noise of this beast as the revs build is simply infectious. A great reminder that the Kawasaki Z1000 R really does have a wild side.

Shared with the Z1000, the front end of the bike is characterised by the stunning plunging headlamp cowl with its narrow aspect ultra-bright LED headlight.

This version of the Z1000 comes in it's own very striking "R" livery where the accent lines of the design highlight the aggressive pose of the Z1000 R further. The subtle colour options of black and dark grey accentuate the sharp angular features.

If the Kawasaki Z1000 re-wrote the rules in the supernaked class, then the Z1000 R has torn the rule book up.

There is also a Kawasaki Z1000 R Performance Edition that comes with Akrapovic Silencers.
